Marble fill PLA Durability

We wanted to use something solid and beautiful for a deckbox so we decided to try marble fill, and will continue to use it for our deck boxes. We threw the heat treated filament against a concrete wall and let it drop 4 feet onto a concrete floor. The material never failed in an hour of continuous testing, hardly even got scratched. 10/10 Have bought again.

Something a little different...

HTPLA marble- prints great and looks really nice, but it seems a little more like a granite texture than marble. Still. I'd buy more!

tweak for adhesion

I found that dropping the first layers print speed to 1/3rd what it was prevented a glob of plastic following the nozzle around. So now I can go back to some other filaments I'd set aside for the same problem, so double win. Satin pearlescent is a favorite car paint, and this is essentially that. But I plan to try the bronze alloy next.

Best Marble I've tried

The marble is very impressive. I've tried just about every marble filament I can get my hands on and this has been my favorite. I don't know what you're using for the specs but it's much finer and the aesthetic and filament consistency is better and more uniform as a result. I used it for a lithophane and tried both the moonstruck and this for the litho and preferred this one as it looks more like a black and white photo with some film grain. The moon struck had more of a sepia tone vibe to it and was overall less contrasty. Both printed exceptionally well and I would guess I could use this marble on my smaller nozzles like the 0.2mm as the particulates are so fine.
