We're always playing with colors and experimenting with different ingredients (anyone remember bacon filament?!), and we'd love for you to experiment, too!
These exclusive colors are truly unique! With inspiration from several sources, we're sure to keep you guessing. We'll also include a little background story each month to give you an idea of where the colors came from and the inspiration behind each one.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Every other month, we select 3 colors to be featured in the subscription. These colors could come from our workshops, community collaborators, or our makers here at Protoplant. You’ll receive a sample of each exclusive, never-before-produced color, along with some other goodies to enrich your printing experience.
WHAT OPTIONS ARE THERE?
Subscriptions are only available in 1.75mm, but you can choose coils of 50g each, 100g each, or full 500g or 1kg spools, all for a flat fee. You'll then select your preferred shipping method. This ensures that our International customers can get in on the fun, too! And as an added bonus, if you subscribe to full spools, we'll include the shipping (for our domestic customers only)!
WHAT TYPE OF MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED?
The subscriptions will contain never before released HTPLA colors in various finishes in a non-abrasive base. HTPLA prints similar to PLA. No special hardware required to enjoy Endless Pastabilities! For more on printing HTPLA, see our getting started guide.
WHERE DO THE COLORS COME FROM?
Inspiration is everywhere! Each shipment will feature a different theme, so the ideas can literally come from any channel. We've made some great colors in our quarterly workshops, we've worked with community partners, and even our own makers here at Protoplant love coming up with new color ideas. We'll select some of the best, and include a little background on each of the colors.
HOW OFTEN WILL I GET MY FILAMENT?
We’ll be sending these out every couple of months. Each time around, you’ll be automatically charged on the same date you signed up. We'll ship out subscriptions the first week of February, April, June, August, October, and December (all even months). Any subscriptions purchased on or after the first will receive the following shipment.
There is no commitment, and you can cancel anytime (though we don't think you'll want to!) We also offer the option to "pause" your subscription, for those times when you have filament coming out your ears and just need a little time to catch up. Then, when you're ready, it's one click to start up again!
