The imperfect pasta I got has been a pleasure to print with, as this was my first foray into using proto-pasta. I ended up with a nice wintery blue glitter filament that looks great, and some opaque black that prints as good as ever. Great deal and will definitely grab some again next time it's back in stock along with picking up some other HTPLA. Satisfied customer.
The quality of Proto-pasta filament is unreal. The filament is well behaved, with good bed adhesion and minimal stringing. So far I am loving the quality.
When you buy an imperfect anything, you usually get what you pay for. In my case, I received much more when I purchased "imperfect" filament: some of the best PLA filament I have ever used. The color was great (sparkle purple) and the print quality with my Ender 3 Pro was absolutely five star in every respect. This was a great bargain for me that will keep me coming back to Proto-Pasta to try other things as well.
Thank you for the wonderful comments. It's easy to misunderstand what we mean by imperfect. Rest assured the material is still the same quality and tolerance as the rest. It just didn't make weight on the spool, the color didn't match to our satisfaction or it was the folks in manufacturing just playing with a new color or idea.
