No sparkles or fancy finishes here, just premium Natureworks Ingeo 4043D PLA with high quality black pigment. Master-batched and extruded in house to be your go-to basic PLA filament for a premium experience. Spooled onto cardboard spools to minimize environmental impact and maximize value. Many filaments are wound onto wasteful plastic spools because it's cheap and easy, but cardboard is sturdy enough for single use, saves shipping weight, and is easily recycled when done! Protopasta filament is first dried, then extruded without moisture using air cooling for exceptional quality. Minimal waste, no water use, and no additives because less is more when meeting basic needs.

Returns

Great Pasta!

This filament has exceeded my expectations. Every print that I have done with it has came out good. The color looks like matte black on the spool but when it prints is glossy. I discovered Protopasta through another hobbie of mine. I was unsure at first because I have never used any other kind of filament with my Prusa MK3S. I’m glad I took the recommendation not only does this filament print just as good it also comes on a cardboard spool. That to me is a huge plus. Have a big piece of plastic after your done with a regular spool of filament is a huge waste and bad for the earth. #Protopastaforthewin

Great Printing PLA

I had project and I wanted the smoothest starting print and PP Black PLA did not disappoint. Ultra smooth printing and great glossy black surface. I didn't used to think that PLA made that much different in print results but I'm happy to be proved wrong.

it just works

The parts I've printed look molded. At 0.16 layer height the layers are hard to distinguish. I'm printing with a nozzle temp of 200 C with bed temp of 60 C on an Ender 3 Pro. I've had some adhesion issues with thin parts, but otherwise I've been pleased.
