No sparkles or fancy finishes here, just premium Natureworks Ingeo 4043D PLA with high quality black pigment. Master-batched and extruded in house to be your go-to basic PLA filament for a premium experience. Spooled onto cardboard spools to minimize environmental impact and maximize value. Many filaments are wound onto wasteful plastic spools because it's cheap and easy, but cardboard is sturdy enough for single use, saves shipping weight, and is easily recycled when done! Protopasta filament is first dried, then extruded without moisture using air cooling for exceptional quality. Minimal waste, no water use, and no additives because less is more when meeting basic needs.

We provide a number of domestic shipping options within the United States via UPS, including free shipping on orders of $50 or more. We also provide international shipping via DHL Express.

Returns

At ProtoPlant's discretion, returns and replacements will be accepted within 90 days of purchase.  Please check the material label before opening your product.  Only sealed product can be returned. Shipping of items for exchange or refund is paid by the customer. Simple but good!

I know it’s just plain black filament, but the finish looks really good and it’s cheap! Great product Protopasta!

Great Pasta!

This filament has exceeded my expectations. Every print that I have done with it has came out good. The color looks like matte black on the spool but when it prints is glossy. I discovered Protopasta through another hobbie of mine. I was unsure at first because I have never used any other kind of filament with my Prusa MK3S. I’m glad I took the recommendation not only does this filament print just as good it also comes on a cardboard spool. That to me is a huge plus. Have a big piece of plastic after your done with a regular spool of filament is a huge waste and bad for the earth. #Protopastaforthewin
