No sparkles or fancy finishes here, just natural, unmodified Natureworks Ingeo 4043D PLA resin extruded into filament and spooled onto cardboard spools to minimize environmental impact and maximize value. Many filaments are wound onto wasteful plastic spools because it's cheap and easy, but cardboard is sturdy enough for single use, saves shipping weight, and is easily recycled when done! Proto-pasta filament is first dried, then extruded without moisture using air cooling for exceptional quality. Minimal waste, no water use, and no additives because less is more when meeting basic needs.

Returns

At ProtoPlant's discretion, returns and replacements will be accepted within 90 days of purchase.  Please check the material label before opening your product.  Only sealed product can be returned. Shipping of items for exchange or refund is paid by the customer. I recommend this product

Best PLA Filament

The PLA is easy to use. There is no having to dial in temperature settings for the odd PLA mixes, nor having to waste filament due to impurities. Great stuff.

The only stuff I use!

I’ve now bought several rolls of the back to basics PLA for a huge project I’ve been working on for a couple years. It is the only stuff I use. When my printer is dialed in, this stuff goes down smooth like butter. I’d love to see this material in a few other basic colors, but the natural/clear PLA looks awesome for modelmaking and architectural projects.

Great for prototyping

Reliably prints well and adheres to build plate. Also enables some viewing of internal structures.

Great quality

Fantastic print quality from this filament with a nice semi-transparent clear look. My first proto-pasta spool but definitely not my last!

Good filement overall.

I bumped my printer to 220 and it feed a little easier the the nozzle, but qaulity is excellent and I get excellent prints out of it.
